In 2019 there were close to 1.7 million people employed in this industry, which is projected to increase to more than 1.9 million by 2024. Within this industry, and relevant to Direct Client Care and Support, is that the employment numbers for Aged and Disabled Carers are expected to grow from close to 175,000 in 2019 to 222,300 in 2024, an increase of more than 25%.

Entry Requirements:

• Basic computer skills and access to a desktop or laptop with sufficient internet speed to undertake online studies.
• 120 hours of vocational placement is mandatory for this course. We will organise placement for you. Please be aware that in most cases a Police check is required before placement within an Aged Care Facility.
• Students are interviewed during information sessions to ensure suitability for this career choice, as well as specialisation desired.
