SITHFAB021 Provide responsible service of alcohol (RSA)
Having an RSA certificate is a prerequisite for anyone looking to secure a job working in alcohol-related service roles. It ensures that you understand how to serve alcohol responsibly, helping to prevent alcohol-related harm such as intoxication, underage drinking, or aggressive behaviour and help you comply with local laws and industry standards, which is crucial for maintaining a safe and legal environment in hospitality venues.
SITHGAM022 Provide responsible gambling services (RSG)
Having a RSG certificate is a prerequisite for anyone looking to secure a job working in gambling or gaming services roles such as casinos, gaming rooms or venues with electronic gaming machines. It covers the skills and knowledge required to identify and manage problem gambling behaviours, provide support to customers, and ensure compliance with responsible gambling practices and legal requirements.
SITXFSA005 Use hygienic practices for food safety
This unit is essential for working in hospitality because it ensures that workers understand and apply proper food safety practices, preventing contamination and ensuring the health and safety of customers. Foodborne illnesses can result from improper food handling, storage, and preparation, which can harm customers and damage a business’s reputation. Completing this unit helps workers meet industry standards and regulatory requirements for food safety, making them more competent and qualified in their roles, especially in settings like cafés, pubs, and restaurants.
