SIT30821 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery

Launch your career as a cook and learn the skills needed for entry into the hospitality and cookery industry. This qualification reflects the role of cooks who use a wide range of well-developed cookery skills and sound knowledge of kitchen operations to prepare food and menu items. Using discretion and judgement, they work with some independence and under limited supervision using plans, policies and procedures to guide work activities. Completion of this qualification contributes to recognition as a trade cook and provides pathways to work in restaurants, hotels, clubs, pubs, cafes, and coffee shops.
Cooks are in such high demand that they have been added to the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO) National Skills Priority List and are currently a top 20 occupations in demand due to shortages.
