This course describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies. Elements include responding to an emergency situation, applying appropriate first aid procedures, communicating details and review of the incident. You can learn cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), how to use an automatic defibrillator, and using the DRSABCD principles to manage emergency situations until professional help arrives.
