What is an internship? An Internship is a work-related learning experience for students requiring hands-on work experience in a certain industry or occupational field. Another name for Internship is work placement.
GeSS Education offers Internships with selected on campus courses, please refer to course pages to see if your course of interest has an internship requirement. For some courses, the internship is non-mandatory – however, all internship/work placement is linked to your assessment. For other courses it is mandatory as it forms part of vocational placement requirements, for example, Aged Care & Hospitality.
Internships are unpaid – but if you have a current employer that you wish to intern with, and your employer is happy for this; then you can be paid during your normal hours of work during your Internship.
